The Draft-Free Townhouse

Replacing worn weather stripping and adjusting misaligned door frames in a historic 1920s home.

The owners of this beautiful older home loved its character but hated the cold drafts during winter. Every time the wind blew, the curtains moved. We spent a few days meticulously adjusting the original door frames and replacing old, worn-out seals. It wasn’t a massive construction job, but it made a massive difference. The house is now quiet, warm, and much more energy-efficient, all while keeping the original historic charm intact.
